I’m RL AKA rldubb on Chess.com, and I have been playing chess off and on since I was about 11 years old. I’ve never really studied the game. I just like to play, not read about it.
I’m hoping you like to read about it though. ;-}
I’m also hoping to get out of my comfort zone and learn a bit more about the game I’ve loved and played for so long. Won’t you join me on my journey?
I’ve been playing on Chess.com for many years. I currently play as rldubb. Look me up if you play, maybe we can play a game once in a while.
I’m no chess master. In fact, I’m ranked quite low on the totem pole. My highest Blitz rank at Chess.com was 1275. That was well over 5 years ago. I’ve ranked as low as 645. That was just last year. Maybe taking this journey will change that. Let’s see shall we?
This is a fantasy chessboard I created using AI. I asked for an intricate chessboard with intricate lifelike pieces.
It’s not exactly what I was hoping for, but not bad for a prompt that took me all of 3 seconds to come up with.
What do you think about the overall image and effect?
My favorite game is the 5-minute Blitz. Any shorter of a game and I normally run out of time. Any longer and I get bored. I do like to try the 3-minute Blitz on rare occasions but haven’t done so in quite a while.
I’m kinda old and don’t make changes too easily or too often these days. But I’m trying to embrace the online world. Mainly because I’m studying how to earn a little money online.
I’m currently retired and SSI just doesn’t cut it for income. I wasn’t smart enough to plan for retirement… In fact, I never expected to live this long.
Although making money isn’t the main reason I’m building this site, I would be a fool to not utilize the opportunity to make a few extra bucks here now, wouldn’t I? Tell me you wouldn’t do the same if you knew how. Speaking of which… just ask if you are curious as to how. I’ll hook you up.
So, Why Did I Create I ♥ Chess ✓Mate?
I created this site for two purposes… ♥ & $
- ♥ Firstly, because I simply love playing the game and wanted to share some of my best and worst games with others.
Eventually, I will make changes so that others can share their experiences and games as well. In the meantime, feel free to share your experiences in the comments below or on any post. - $ Secondly, I wanted to try an experiment to see if I could build a blog on what is known as a subdomain and attract visitors and earn revenue from it. Once I see if I can accomplish this, I may purchase a stand-alone domain for my little website.
I’m sort of winging it here. I will more than likely add some interesting tidbits about the game of chess, like its history and such. I’ll eventually add some chessboards and accessories that I think are really cool that you can purchase through my affiliate links to help me out if you don’t mind. Anyway, I’m glad you found my little website. I hope you enjoy it and the game of chess as much or more than I do. Feel free to take a look around. At first, you probably won’t find much since the site is relatively new. But, I will work on changing that soon.
